Brutal Attack on Euston Road

Hassan Alsarout, 22, a Brazilian with no fixed address, brutally raped the victim in a quiet spot on London’s Euston Road in the early hours of 9 October 2025. The victim bravely came forward, giving police a detailed account that set the wheels in motion.

Rapid Response and National Man Hunt

Detectives wasted no time, grabbing crucial CCTV footage and digital evidence. They soon tracked Alsarout fleeing London for the West Midlands. A nationwide hunt led them to Coventry, where officers found he was just hours away from escaping to Denmark.

Justice Served: Lengthy Jail Term and Deportation

Less than 24 hours after the attack, Alsarout was arrested. He pleaded guilty to rape at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 20 February. On Tuesday, 21 April, he was sentenced to five years and seven months behind bars and slapped with a lifelong sex offenders register order. He’ll be deported after serving his sentence. Met Police praised the fast work that snapped up the perpetrator before he could slip away.
