Lewisham Fugitive Snapped, Gets Eight Months
Dean Spence, 56, from Mercator Road, Lewisham, was caught after skipping out on his temporary release from HMP Standford Hill. He pleaded guilty to being unlawfully at large and was slammed with an eight-month prison sentence.
Thamesmead Burglar Nabbed
James Bennett, 36, of Woodstock Road, Walthamstow, admitted breaking into a Thamesmead home on New Acres Road back in February. He aimed to cause damage and now faces a two-month prison term.
Co-op Shoplifter Busted in Abbey Wood
Jake Tomkinson, 31, a drifter with no fixed address, was found guilty of stealing from an Abbey Wood Co-op on January 29. He was also caught carrying a lockable knife. Jail time? Four weeks behind bars.
Deptford Man Caught With Drugs and Knife
Daniel Rich, 53, of Abinger Grove, Deptford, got nicked for having cocaine and a kitchen knife in public on Evelyn Street. He scored a four-month suspended sentence for one year.
