A relentless stalker has been locked up after tormenting a woman he knew in West Sussex. Michael Walker, 37, terrorised the victim for nearly five months, bombarding her with unwanted calls and messages.

Relentless Harassment Spans Months

Walker obsessively tracked the woman’s movements and made multiple calls each day. He even created several fake social media accounts to continue his unwanted contact. This chilling harassment lasted from June to October last year, leaving the victim living in fear.

Quick Justice at Lewes Crown Court

After a thorough investigation by Sussex Police’s Public Protection officers, Walker was charged with stalking. At trial, he was found guilty of stalking but cleared of coercive control. When interviewed, Walker chillingly told officers: “You’re the police, you work it out.” On 10 April, Lewes Crown Court sentenced him to 16 weeks in jail. The court also slapped a restraining order on Walker, banning him from contacting the victim or visiting addresses in Haywards Heath until 2031.
