Six Men Arrested Over Horrific Genital Mutilation Conspiracy Across UK
Police Raid Leads to Shocking Charges
This morning, officers swooped in London, Scotland, and South Wales, arresting six men linked to a sickening conspiracy. They appeared at Westminster and Newport Magistrates’ Courts charged with conspiring to commit grievous bodily harm (GBH) between January 2016 and January 2022.
One suspect faces additional charges of making and distributing indecent images of a child.
Suspects Named and Charges Detailed
- Marius Theodore Gustavson, 45, of Haringey, London: charged with conspiracy to commit GBH, five counts of GBH with intent, making and distributing indecent images of a child, and possession of criminal property under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
- Ion Ciucur, 28, of Gretna, Scotland: charged with conspiracy to commit GBH.
- Peter Wates, 65, London: charged with one count of GBH and theft; previously arrested in March 2022.
- Jacob Crimi-Appleby, 22, Epsom, Surrey: charged with one count of GBH.
All men have been bailed to appear at the Old Bailey on April 19.
Horrific Offences Against 13 Victims
The grim offences involve severe genital mutilation including removal of penises, testicles, penile nerves, castration, needle insertion into genitalia, and cutting of penises. Thirteen victims are currently being safeguarded by specialist detectives.
