Man Held Over Brutal Chatham Stabbing

A man has been charged after a stabbing in Chatham left a man in his 20s seriously injured.

Stabbing Shakes Chatham Hill

Kent Police rushed to Chatham Hill just before 2pm on Sunday, 20 April, following reports of an injured man. Emergency crews, including South East Coast Ambulance, found the victim with stab wounds. He was taken to hospital and has since been discharged.

Suspects Arrested in Gravesend

Later that day, police stopped a car in Gravesend and arrested two men linked to the attack. One, 22-year-old Djorn Anderson from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, has been charged with wounding with intent. He’s also facing multiple driving offences: driving while disqualified, without a licence, and without insurance.

Anderson appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 22 April, and was remanded in custody. The second suspect, also 22 and from London, remains in police custody as the investigation continues.

Police Launch Witness Appeal

Kent Police are urging anyone who saw the attack or has dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward. They want the public’s help to crack down on knife crime and violence in the community.
