Medway Drug Crackdown Nets Three Suspects

Kent Police have dealt a heavy blow to the supply of Class A drugs in Medway, arresting three suspected dealers in separate operations targeting cocaine and heroin.

Big Bust in Rochester

On Wednesday 12 March 2025, officers stopped Lascell McKenzie on Cazeneuve Street, Rochester. A search uncovered four wraps of crack cocaine, a knife, and a mobile phone. Further checks in custody revealed 40 more packages of drugs. McKenzie, 30, from Rochester Avenue, now faces serious charges including supplying heroin and crack cocaine, possession with intent to supply, and carrying a bladed article in public.

Second Operation Yields More Arrests

Meanwhile, police raided a property near Delce Road, Rochester. A man and a woman were detained as officers seized a large bag stuffed with crack cocaine and suspected heroin. Lisa Jarvis, 54, and Denne Stephenson, 60, both from St Peter Street, have been charged with conspiracy to supply heroin and crack cocaine.

Court Appearances and Next Steps

  • McKenzie pleaded guilty to all charges at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 13 March and was remanded in custody. He awaits sentencing at Maidstone Crown Court on 11 April.
  • Ms Jarvis was released on bail, while Mr Stephenson was remanded in custody. Both will appear at the Maidstone Crown Court hearing alongside McKenzie.

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “We remain committed to tackling the supply of harmful Class A drugs and ensuring those responsible are brought before the courts. These arrests and charges are a direct result of targeted enforcement and intelligence-led policing in Medway.”
