Teen Charged with Murder After Hackney Shooting Shocks Community
Tragic Shooting on Vine Close
A 16-year-old boy has been formally charged with the murder of 42-year-old Lianne Gordon following a fatal shooting in Hackney, East London last Tuesday. The attack happened outside a home on Vine Close, where Gordon was shot dead on her doorstep.
Two Others Wounded in Deadly Gunfire
The horrifying incident also left a 20-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy with gunshot wounds. Both victims were later discharged from hospital. Police believe all three casualties knew each other despite not being related.
Multiple Charges Laid Against Teen Suspect
The teenager was arrested early Friday morning by the Metropolitan Police. He faces a slew of charges including:
- Murder of Lianne Gordon
- Two counts of attempted murder
- Possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life
- Two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs
Ongoing Investigation and Community Alarm
Authorities are probing whether the shooting is connected to previous gunfire in the Hackney area. During Monday’s hearing at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court, the teenager was remanded in custody and will next appear at the Old Bailey on December 13.
