A 17-year-old boy has been hit with three charges of attempted grievous bodily harm following a shocking incident at Birley Academy in Sheffield. The terrifying event left three people injured, sparking alarm among students and parents alike.
Knife Used in School Horror
The unnamed teenager was arrested on the morning of May 1 after allegedly brandishing a sharp weapon at the school on Birley Lane. The attack put two women in their 20s and a child in harm’s way, although their injuries were minor and did not require hospital treatment.
More Charges and Custody
Alongside the GBH charges, the youth also faces a possession charge for carrying a bladed or sharply pointed article on school grounds. He is now remanded in custody as he awaits further legal action.
