Ten charged after Palestine protest chaos in Whitehall

Protesters Break Agreement

Ten people now face charges after tearing up protest rules during a Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) rally on Saturday, 18 January 2025. This blatant breach targeted sensitive locations near synagogues, sparking police action.

  3. Monday Rosenfeld, 21, Rhodeswell Road E14

More Scoops: Ongoing Police Crackdown

Meanwhile, three men aged 61, 73, and 75 are voluntarily attending interviews under caution at a Central London police station, suspected of coordinating the protest breaches. Out of 82 arrests, 24 have been bailed, but 48 remain in custody as investigations steam ahead.

Police Speak Out

Commander Adam Slonecki, leading the operation, slammed the protests:

“Yesterday we saw a deliberate effort, including by protest organisers, to breach conditions and attempt to march out of Whitehall. This was a serious escalation in criminality, and officers have worked tirelessly to address these actions.”

Police are combing through CCTV, social media clips, and bodycam footage to nail down further culprits.

Officer Safety Update

Thankfully, no officers suffered serious injuries, though three were spat at and one physically assaulted. All affected officers are receiving support as the force cracks down hard.

Call to the Public

The Metropolitan Police urge anyone with info on the protest chaos to come forward. The full investigation is ongoing, and more arrests could be on the horizon.
