Man Charged with Murder After Fatal Stabbing in Skegness
Richard Lee Norris, from Alexandra Road, Skegness, has been charged with murder. He is set to appear at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, 6 December.
Stabbing Incident Shocks Skegness Community
On the morning of Friday 2 December, police were called to a property on Grosvenor Road after reports of a man with a suspected stab wound. Despite paramedics rushing to the scene, 47-year-old Marcus Tott was pronounced dead at the location.
Two Women Arrested and Released on Bail
- Norris was arrested alongside two women, aged 22 and 42, on suspicion of murder.
- The two women have since been released on conditional bail.
Police Urge Public to Come Forward with Information
Detective Inspector Czajkowski, leading the investigation, offered thanks to the local community and reassured residents, saying:
“We believe this to be an isolated incident with no wider risk to the public. Our thoughts remain with the friends and family of Marcus Tott. We continue to appeal for any information, including CCTV and dashcam footage, that can assist our inquiries.”
Police are appealing for anyone with information to call 101, quoting incident number 97 from 2 December. Information, including footage, can also be submitted via the Major Incident Public Portal (MIPP) under Operation Lavender.
Officers from Skegness neighbourhood team will be at Sacred Heart Church on Grosvenor Road tomorrow, 6 December, between 2-4pm. The public are encouraged to drop by if they have concerns or information related to the murder investigation.
