Teen Trio Charged After Croydon Shooting Leaves 17-Year-Old With Life-Changing Injuries
Gunfire Rocks Croydon Evening
Three teens have been charged with attempted murder following a shooting in Croydon that seriously injured a 17-year-old boy. The shocking incident happened around 7:40pm on Monday, 10 February on Park Street.
Metropolitan Police rushed to the scene after reports of gunfire. Officers found the teenage victim with a gunshot wound to the leg, suffering life-changing injuries.
Suspects Arrested and Charged
- Dontae Dillon, 19, from Platinum Way, Burgess Hill, faces charges of attempted murder and firearm possession.
- A 16-year-old boy from Burgess Hill, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is also charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm.
- A 15-year-old from Croydon, also unnamed, faces attempted murder charges.
Court Hearings Set
The 15-year-old appeared at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 13 February. Dillon and the 16-year-old suspect had their hearing on Saturday, 15 February at the same court.
All three face their next court appearance at the Old Bailey on Thursday, 13 March.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Met Police stress the investigation is ongoing and urge anyone with information to come forward.
