Man Charged with Murder Over Ribbleton Killing

Hill faced Preston Crown Court on Monday, September 29, charged with murder. He refused to enter a plea. Judge Graham Knowles KC has fixed the trial for March 3, 2026.

Gary Carlisle was discovered badly hurt on Ribbleton Hall Drive, near Moor Nook Community Primary School, on March 12. Despite being rushed to Royal Preston Hospital, he died on March 19.

Blunt Force Trauma Caused Tragic Death

A post-mortem confirmed that blunt force trauma to the head was the cause of Gary’s death. The shocking news has left the Ribbleton community reeling.

Hill Also Charged with Assault

Jacob Hill, who has no fixed address, remains in custody. He faces a separate assault charge for another victim tied to the same incident. Hill will return to court for a plea hearing on November 5.
