Man Held After Teen Girl Sex Assault in Tunbridge Wells
A man has been remanded in custody following a shocking sexual assault on a teenage girl in the heart of Tunbridge Wells.
Attack Shakes Tunbridge Wells Common
The terrifying attack happened on the evening of Saturday 18 October 2025 near Mount Ephraim and Molyneux Park Road on Tunbridge Wells Common. The victim, a teenage girl, was targeted by a stranger in the area.
Suspect Arrested and Charged
Just two days after the incident, police arrested 46-year-old Rocco Minafra from Judd Road, Tonbridge. He now faces serious charges including rape, three counts of sexual assault, and making threats to kill.
Minafra appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 21 October and was remanded in custody. His next court hearing is scheduled for 23 November at Maidstone Crown Court.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Detectives are urgently appealing for information. They want to speak to occupants of a white car who reportedly shouted at the victim and the suspect, who was seen walking with a bike between 8pm and 9pm on the night of the attack.
