Two Charged After Stabbing Horror in Margate
A man was left seriously injured after a brutal stabbing in Margate. Police swooped on the Cowper Road area at 6.30pm on Friday, December 13, 2024, following reports of a violent assault.
Officers found the victim with stab wounds. Emergency crews from the South East Coast Ambulance Service rushed him to a London hospital, where he remains in serious but stable condition.
Arrests Made – Murder Attempt Charges Filed
Police quickly arrested a man and woman nearby, both known to the victim. On Saturday, December 14, they faced serious charges:
- Leigh Moxam, 22, of Railway Road, Newhaven, East Sussex:
- Attempted murder
- Possession of a bladed article in public
- Assault on emergency worker
- Criminal damage
- Donna Green, 44, no fixed address:
- Attempted murder
- Possession of a bladed article in public
Both have been remanded in custody and will appear at Margate Magistrates’ Court on Monday, December 16.
Police Launch Appeal for Witnesses
Kent Police remain on the hunt for more information. A spokesperson said:
“We urge anyone with information, including CCTV or doorbell footage, who has not yet spoken to police, to come forward.”
