Tragedy as baby dies in horror dog attack
Two people have been charged following the death of a three-month-old baby girl mauled by a dog in Lincolnshire.

Karen Alcock, 41, and Vince King, 54, both from Castledyke Bank, New York, Lincoln, face charges of being in charge of a dog that was out of control and caused injury resulting in death.
Baby girl died at scene after brutal attack
Emergency services were called to Ostlers Plantation near Woodhall Spa at 11.13pm on 6 March after reports that baby Kyra King had been seriously injured by the dog.
Despite desperate efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene, suffering severe neck and head injuries.
Dog held at secure kennels, euthanasia sought
The dog responsible has been kept isolated in secure kennels since the tragedy. Police are now seeking an order to have the animal euthanised.
“This has been a profoundly sad investigation for everyone involved,” said lead investigator DC Craig Davey. “We have worked with forensic experts and our Protecting Vulnerable People unit. Charges have now been brought against two people, and we will continue to work with the CPS as this case proceeds through the courts.”
The couple have been summoned to appear at Boston Magistrates’ Court at 11am on Wednesday 9 November for their initial hearing.
