Two Men Charged in Swale Drug Bust After Police Crackdown

Crackdown on Drug Supply in Kent

Kent Police launched a sharp investigation in November 2024 targeting illegal drug supply in Swale. Detectives zeroed in on a mobile phone linked to drug dealers contacting known users. The probe led officers to a Faversham address, sparking a warranted search.

Warrant Leads to Key Arrests and Seizures

On Wednesday, 19 March 2025, police raided a Faversham property. They arrested a man on the spot and uncovered a stash including cocaine, cannabis, a zombie-style knife, and a large haul of cash tied to crime. An hour later, a second suspect was nabbed in Sittingbourne as enquiries intensified.

Suspects Slapped with Serious Charges

  • Alfie Cowan, 21, faces charges for supplying Class A and Class B drugs.
  • Oliver Taylor, 28, was charged with possession of a banned knife and handling criminal property.

Both men, from Brickfield Mews, Faversham, appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday. They’ve been bailed until their next hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on 18 April 2025.

Kent Police Vow to Keep Hitting Drug Networks

Kent Police say this operation is just one part of their ongoing fight against drug crime. They’re determined to disrupt dealers and shield communities from drug-related violence.

“We remain committed to taking robust action against those involved in drug-related crime and bringing offenders before the courts.”
