Two Men Charged Over Brutal Bus Stabbing in Redbridge

Two men have been hit with serious charges after a violent stabbing on a Route 169 bus in Redbridge. The attack left a 19-year-old man fighting for his life on Monday, June 24.

Arrests and Court Dates

  • Abass Kamara, 20, from Stonebridge, NW10, faces charges of grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of an offensive weapon, and cannabis.
  • Emmanuel Kabengele, 18, from Knotts Green, Leyton, E10, is charged with possession of an offensive weapon.

Both men were arrested on July 3, after a media appeal on June 26 tipped police off. Kamara appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on July 4 and is due at Harrow Crown Court on August 1. Kabengele is set to appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on July 5.

The Attack on Route 169 Bus

The brutal stabbing happened aboard a bus travelling along High Road, Barkingside. Police responded quickly and found the victim seriously injured. The motive behind the savage attack remains under close investigation.
