Two Charged After Gunshot Rattles Penge
Two men have been charged after a gunshot rang out in Penge on Sunday, March 2. Detectives swooped on the suspects following a swift police response to reports of firearm discharge in Chestnut Grove, SE20.
Bromley Men Face Serious Firearm Charges
Tyrone Elliott, 31, from Rosewell Close, Bromley, faces multiple charges:
- Possession of a firearm and ammunition with intent to endanger life
- Possession of a firearm whilst prohibited
He appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 28 March, and was remanded in custody. Elliott is set for Harrow Crown Court on 25 April.
Jordan Duncan, 30, of Chestnut Grove, Bromley, is charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. He appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on 11 April and was also remanded. Duncan’s next court date is at Harrow Crown Court on 9 May.
Police Launch Full-Blown Armed Response
Police were alerted at around 5:38pm on March 2 after a gunshot was heard in Chestnut Grove. Armed response units swiftly arrived and scoured the area for evidence. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said investigations are ongoing. “These charges mark a significant breakthrough in our inquiry,” they added.
