22-year-old charged with attempted murder after Newham shooting
Two Men Face Serious Charges Over East London Shooting
A 22-year-old man, Mohammed Abdullah Khan from Upton Lane, E7, has been charged with attempted murder following a shooting in Newham, East London.
He faces multiple charges including:
- Attempted murder
- Possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life
- Possession of a prohibited firearm
In addition, Mohammed Qasim Khan, 37, of Sprowston Road, E7, has been charged with:
- Grievous bodily harm (GBH)
- Violent disorder
Both men are due to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court today, Saturday 3 May.
The Shooting Incident
The terrifying episode unfolded on Tuesday, 29 April, at 2.42pm when police rushed to reports of an altercation on Dunbar Road, Newham.
On arrival, officers found three victims:
- A 33-year-old man with a gunshot wound
- Two others with facial injuries
All victims were treated at the scene by the London Ambulance Service before being taken to hospital. Thankfully, none suffered life-threatening or life-changing injuries.
Both Mohammed Abdullah Khan and Mohammed Qasim Khan were arrested shortly after the shooting and remain in police custody.
