Two Teens Charged with Murder in East London Stabbing
Shomiah McKenzie and Cody Godfrey Held
Shomiah McKenzie, 18, from Lewisham, and Cody Godfrey, 18, from Isle of Dogs, were charged with murder on Friday, 9 August. Both face additional charges of possession of Class C drugs with intent to supply. McKenzie is also charged with possession of an offensive weapon.
Back in Court This Weekend
The pair were remanded in custody and are scheduled to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court on Saturday, 10 August.
Fatal Stabbing Rocks New Union Close
Victim Abdul Jalloh, 23, was fatally stabbed on Monday afternoon, 5 August, at New Union Close, E14. Police are continuing their investigation and are providing specialist support to the victim’s grieving family.
Third Suspect Released Under Investigation
A 16-year-old boy, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has been released under investigation as inquiries continue.
