Gun Found in Northolt Armed Raid Sparks Court Drama

Police swooped on a Northolt home in Killowen Avenue after receiving intel about a hidden firearm. On 19 October 2021, an armed raid uncovered a black pistol and ammunition tucked away in a package. Cydney Hadkinson, present during the raid, was arrested on suspicion of firearms offences—but she insisted she had no clue what was inside the package.

Forensics Pinpoint Gun Runners

Specialist Crime detectives dug deeper, using CCTV and forensic analysis to crack the case. They identified Kaoen Tarahkel and Necho Lewis as the key players involved in handling and passing the illegal gun.

Necho Lewis, 31, of London Road, Isleworth, was later jailed for nine and a half years. He was found guilty of transferring and possessing a firearm and ammunition with intent to endanger life.

Hadkinson Gets Suspended Sentence

At Isleworth Crown Court on 8 May, 27-year-old Cydney Hadkinson, also from Killowen Avenue, Northolt, was handed an 18-month prison sentence, suspended for two years. She had pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm and ammunition. The judge took her vulnerable situation into account but stressed the seriousness of the offence.

Detective Issues Warning to Gun Handlers

Detective Constable Lianne Grayson, Met’s Specialist Crime Command, said:

“Tarahkel and Lewis exploited Hadkinson, who was vulnerable, to stash a deadly weapon at her home. While the judge was considerate of her circumstances, the harsh sentences for the others highlight how serious this crime is.

“This should send a clear message: if you handle firearms, you will be caught, prosecuted, and face the full weight of the law.”
