Two More Charged Over Teen’s Shocking Stockwell Murder
Detectives have charged two more suspects in the fatal shooting of 16-year-old Lathaniel Burrell in Stockwell.
Lathaniel was gunned down on Paradise Road, SW4, in a brutal attack on Tuesday, 4 March. Despite emergency crews’ best efforts, the teenager was declared dead at the scene. His family remains supported by specialist officers.
New Arrests Shake the Case
On Tuesday, 26 March, police nabbed a 17-year-old boy from Peckham and 30-year-old Jeffery Frimpong of Smedley Street, Lambeth. The teenager—who cannot be named for legal reasons—faces charges of murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
Frimpong, born 9 May 1994, is also charged with murder. Both men are set to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 27 March.
Investigation Moves Forward
“These charges mark a significant milestone in the investigation. We continue to appeal for witnesses and for those with knowledge of this incident to come forward. Please be reassured that we will continue to investigate this matter and ensure that all offenders are brought to justice,” said Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.
Earlier Arrests and Ongoing Inquiry
Two other suspects were previously charged: a 17-year-old boy and 32-year-old Omar Prempeh of Sunderland Road, Forest Hill. Both are due to appear at the Old Bailey on Thursday, 29 May.
