Violent Attack in Ramsgate: Two Charged After Man Hospitalised with Serious Injuries
Man Found Injured in Newcastle Hill
Kent Police rushed to a Newcastle Hill home just after 2am on Wednesday, 9 June 2021. Inside, officers found a man in his 40s suffering from serious head and body injuries. He was immediately taken to hospital for urgent treatment.
Two Arrested and Charged
Later that day, detectives charged local residents Damien Catchpole, 42, and Tania Vella, 53—both from Newcastle Hill, Ramsgate—with causing grievous bodily harm.
Court Appearance and Custody
Both Catchpole and Vella were remanded in custody ahead of their court hearing at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court scheduled for Thursday, 10 June.
