17-Year-Olds Charged After Kent Crime Squad Probe

Two 17-year-old lads, whose names are withheld for legal reasons, have been hit with multiple robbery charges following a Kent Crime Squad investigation.

Three Robberies and An Attempted Hold-Up

They’re accused of three counts of robbery: one in Gravesend and one in Rochester on 6 July, plus another in Aylesham on 9 July. Both also face attempted robbery charges for a separate incident in Rochester on the same day.

Victims Threatened with Violence Over Phones and Valuables

The charges stem from incidents where victims were threatened with violence if they didn’t hand over their mobile phones. In the last case, a bank card and watch were also looted.

Next Steps in Court

The two appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on 11 July and were granted bail. One will face Margate Youth Court on 8 August, the other heads to Coventry Youth Court on 17 August.
