Two Women Charged in Havant Murder Probe
Police have charged two women after the discovery of a man’s body in Havant this weekend. The grim find at a Botley Drive property has sparked a full-scale investigation involving forensic teams and police dogs.
Forensics Scour Crime Scene
Officers found 25-year-old Frankie Fitzgerald dead at the Botley Drive home early Sunday morning. Since then, forensic experts and crime scene investigators have worked tirelessly at the scene, gathering vital evidence. A police dog and handler were also called in today to sniff out any overlooked clues.
Suspects Named and Charges Laid
Two 26-year-old women were arrested and charged in connection to the case. Shaye Lauren Corrigan, from Botley Drive, faces murder charges. Meanwhile, Lauren Elizabeth White of Cheltenham Road, Portsmouth, is charged under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act (RIPA) for refusing to comply with a notice requiring her to reveal the key to protected information. She has been bailed.
Frankie’s next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from special officers.
Magistrates’ Court Date Set
The pair are due before Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Wednesday, July 20, as the investigation continues.
