Wigan Child Sex Predator Jailed for Four Years
Glen Stone, from Duncan Place, Wigan, has been slammed with a four-year prison sentence at Minshull Street Crown Court today. He was found guilty of indecent assault against children dating back to the 1970s and 80s.
Victims’ Bravery Brings Predator Down
The horrific abuse only came to light thanks to the incredible courage of Stone’s victims. Detective Constable Jenna Boyer of Greater Manchester Police praised their strength throughout the tough legal battle.
“Their strength in aiding us with this investigation has ensured that a dangerous man is now behind bars and away from children,” said DC Boyer.
Sex Offender Register for Life and Restraining Order
Stone will not only serve jail time but must also sign the sex offenders’ register for life. On release, a five-year restraining order will keep him away from potential victims, underlining police commitment to public safety.
DC Boyer added she hopes the sentencing offers some comfort to the victims who fought to bring Stone to justice.
