Football mum Claire Brooks jailed for drug supply at Bristol Rovers match

Caught Red-Handed at Memorial Stadium

Claire Brooks, 52, has been slammed with a two-and-a-half-year prison sentence and slapped with an eight-year football banning order after being caught supplying Class A drugs at a Bristol Rovers game last April. The mum was found with a stash of white powder during a stadium search at the Memorial Stadium in Horfield.

Guilty Plea and Court Drama

Following the initial bust, police cracked the case wide open with evidence linking Brooks directly to the supply of Class A drugs, including cocaine. She pleaded guilty at Bristol Magistrates’ Court back in August to possession with intent to supply both Class A and C drugs.

Sentenced for Serious Crime

On June 11, 2024, Bristol Crown Court handed down her 30-month custodial term along with a tough eight-year football banning order, signalling zero tolerance for drugs at sporting events. This aligns with recent crackdowns on Class A drug offences across the UK.

Police Warning: No to Drugs at Football

Dedicated football officer PC Mark Neal said: “Drugs have no place in society, especially at football matches.” He praised Bristol Rovers for backing the investigation and urged fans and locals to keep an eye out and report any suspicious activity.
