Man Arrested for Attempted Murder After Baslow Stabbing
Stabbing Shocks Quiet Baslow Community
A man in his 50s was arrested today on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing in Baslow. Police raced to a home on Wheatlands Lane just after 2pm after reports that a woman in her 50s had been stabbed.
The victim was quickly rushed to hospital for treatment. Thankfully, her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Suspect Caught Near Northwich
At around 5:20pm, Cheshire Police stopped a vehicle close to Northwich. They detained a man, also in his 50s, suspected of the violent attack. He remains in custody as investigations continue.
Police confirmed the suspect knew the victim, ruling out any wider danger to the public.
