Man Dies After Taking Drugs at Blackpool Gathering

Police were called at 1:43am on Sunday, February 6th, to a home on Kincraig Place where a man in his 60s was found dead. An investigation revealed the man had taken drugs earlier at a social event with others.

Another Man Critically Ill, Suspect Arrested

One of the other men, aged in his 50s, remains critically ill in hospital. A 64-year-old Blackpool man has been arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs and is currently in custody.

Investigation Underway as Police Issue Warning

“One person has died and another is seriously ill in hospital and my thoughts are with their loved ones at this time,” said Det Insp Abi Finch-Hall of Blackpool CID. “We are investigating what substances were taken and whether more dangerous drugs are in circulation.”

Police urged drug users to seek immediate medical help if they feel unwell after taking any illegal substances. Lancashire Constabulary continues to crack down on drug activity in the area.
