Teenager Threatened with Knife in Portsmouth Robbery
A 17-year-old boy was robbed at knifepoint in Portsmouth, and police are hunting for witnesses.
Knife-Wielding Thug Steals Nike Bag
Between 8.45pm and 8.55pm on Monday 6 August, the teen was walking along 1 Terrace when a man approached him brandishing a knife. The attacker snatched the victim’s black leather Nike bag before fleeing the scene.
Police Release Suspect Description
Officers described the suspect as:
- White male, about 40 years old
- 5ft 10ins tall, overweight
- Shaven head with a tattoo around his belly button
- Wearing shorts and carrying a white T-shirt
Police Appeal for Witnesses
“Did you see what happened? Did you spot this man nearby? We want to hear from anyone who can help identify him,” said Detective Constable Sharon Lewry.
“This is an isolated incident but we urge people to stay vigilant in the evenings and stick to busy, well-lit areas.”
