Man Shouts Racist Slurs at Bus Driver in Feltham – Pleads Guilty
Racist Abuse on the 116 Bus
Hardy Jalloh, 34, from Granville Avenue, N16, has pleaded guilty to racially aggravated public order offences after hurling vile insults at a bus driver on the 116 bus in Feltham. Jalloh swore at the driver before calling him a “terrorist” and “Hamas.”
Swift Arrest and Charges
Jalloh sparked an argument on Staines Road and was arrested on Thursday, 26 October. He faced charges the next day, including a racially aggravated public order offence and possession of cannabis.
He appeared at West London Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 28 October, admitting to all offences and was bailed until his next hearing on 27 November.
Police Crackdown on Hate Crime
Chief Inspector Stephen Warnes, leading the investigation, said: “We will not tolerate any form of hate crime or anyone inciting violence.” He added the police work closely with Transport for London to protect staff and the public from abuse.
The Met has stepped up patrols across London amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, with over 70 arrests related to hate crimes so far. Hundreds of officers are on visible duty to keep communities safe.
